3-Step Kicking College Athletes Named Special Teams Players of the Year

We are proud!  Two of our student athletes have been named Special Teams Player of the Year.  Quite an accomplishment as college freshmen.  Both of these guys had tremendous seasons.  They are solid performers and their hard work has paid off.  They definitely Stepped Up to the challenge and won!

As an all-conference kicker/punter from St. Charles East High School in St. Charles, IL, Nick earned the starting punting position as a freshman at Carthage college.  Nick has trained with Dan since 2013, when he was prepping for the varsity kicking position his sophomore year of high school.

A former all-state kicker from Northwest Christian in Spokane, WA, Joey won the starting kicking position at Monmouth College as a freshman and had an outstanding year.  Joey was recognized as Midwest Conference Special Teams player of the week three times. He also set three Monmouth records and tied for second longest field goal at 50 yards – tied with Coach Dan!  As Monmouth’s Kicking Coach, Dan trained Joey throughout the 2016 season.
